The Mission may issue a temporary passport to the Nepali citizen residing abroad if he or she submits an application for a new passport for expiry of the valid term of the passport, lost, destroyed or by the reason of passport not being able to use being tempered, for a period not exceeding nine months till the issuance of a new passport.
